| Abstract: | - Students in Catholic schools in SA were included seeking their opinions about school, VET and Structured Workplace Learning.
- Participation in VET: Year Level, Location and Sector Differences The data suggest that VET participation is highest in Government schools, and lowest in private non-Catholic schools, a trend consistent with previous research, though with less marked differences between sectors than had been seen previously.
- Students in private non-Catholic schools, and to a lesser extent, Catholic schools, are more likely than those in Government schools, to report a focus on academic pathways as their main reason for not doing VET.
